Nargomist70 was born from SAFENG, the scientific and industrial research project conducted by Tema Sistemi SpA in collaboration with the University of Ferrara, the National Fire Brigade, Ferrara Fiere e Congressi, with the support of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
The project was launched by Tema Sistemi with the aim of creating a new fire-fighting system capable of protecting works of art and any protected property, while ensuring the safety of humans and the environment.
SAFENG therefore represents a paradigm shift for fire safety: the aim is no longer to protect only humans, but to preserve humans, works of art and the environment at the same time.

NOZZLES
With their elegant Made in Italy design, the NARGOMIST 70 system nozzles are the smallest on the market. They have been designed to blend in completely with locations of high historical value for which they are intended.
GN2
The innovative GN2 system is the latest PATENT of Tema Sistemi Spa. It allows to expertly mix water and nitrogen, ensuring a high degree of nebulization that makes water less "wetting".
It is also designed to optimize the nitrogen storage volume using its entire volume even at balanced pressure.
It is a modular system, easy to install even in ravamping operations.
PUMP UNIT

What is the Nargomist70® system and which environments is it designed for?
Nargomist70® is an innovative fire suppression system engineered by Tema Sistemi. It combines the effectiveness of
Aquatech® Water Mist technology, based on atomised water, with the extinguishing properties of nitrogen (N₂). It is
specifically designed to protect high-value areas and cultural heritage sites, such as historical archives, libraries,
museums, and art galleries.
How does the combined extinguishing action of water and nitrogen work?
Nitrogen gives the water “drier” characteristics, reducing its impact on valuable assets. This nebulised dry water is
discharged at high pressure, rapidly absorbs heat, significantly lowers the temperature, and suppresses the fire while
minimising water-related damage.
Can Nargomist70® wet or damage antique books and works of art?
No. The Nargomist70® system has been validated through full-scale tests as part of the SAFENG research project,
developed with the participation of the University of Ferrara, Sapienza University of Rome, and the Italian Ministry of
Culture. The tests, carried out in the presence of certification bodies, were conducted on 18th-century paintings,
canvases, and wooden frame fragments made available by the Galleria Borghese in Rome. After the tests, the assets
underwent in-depth analysis by the universities involved. The results showed that the quantity of nebulised water
discharged by the system is so limited that it does not alter pigments or compromise the materials of the works,
ensuring high fire-extinguishing performance without damaging artistic heritage.
What are the main safety and sustainability advantages of this system?
The system uses 100% natural, environmentally friendly extinguishing agents - water and nitrogen - ensuring safety for
both the environment and people present during discharge. It also reduces water consumption by around 90%
compared with standard water-based systems, does not require room sealing, and absorbs soluble gases and smoke,
improving visibility and breathability during evacuation.
What are the main components and activation methods of the system?
The Nargomist70® system includes special discharge nozzles, stainless steel piping, and skid-mounted pressurisation
stations, either GAB Cylinder Units or GAP Pumping Units with PLC control. Activation can be automatic or electrically
controlled, and the technology allows rapid functional checks using dedicated Test Tools, without dismantling
components.
