On 17 April, the 36th National Sicurnet Meeting took place at of Tema Sistemi S.p.A.’s headquarters in Russi. The event brought together members of Sicurnet, the Italian network of companies operating in the fields of fire protection and workplace safety. Year after year, this meeting provides an important opportunity for network companies to discuss regulatory developments, emerging technologies and shared projects shaping the future of the industry.

Founded in 2000, Sicurnet was established with the aim of raising standards in fire protection and occupational safety across Italy by promoting a culture based on quality, reliability and continuous professional development. Today, the network comprises 20 companies located throughout the country, generating a combined turnover of approximately €111 million and employing more than 1,000 operational staff. With over 50 certifications and professional accreditations, member companies are able to deliver highly qualified services in accordance with shared operational standards.

In the safety sector, expertise and reliability are fundamental values. Being part of a recognised network such as Sicurnet means sharing a model built on experience, authority and the ability to provide customers with certified services fully compliant with the latest regulations. The network’s member companies are committed to adhering to certified quality and maintenance protocols established by Sicurnet, while also participating continuously in technical training and regulatory update programmes. This approach enables member companies to maintain high standards of excellence and contribute to the ongoing improvement of industry standards.

As every year, the National Sicurnet Dealers’ Meeting represented a valuable opportunity for discussion and knowledge sharing. Hosted by Tema Sistemi, the event focused on highly topical issues concerning regulatory developments and the new challenges facing the safety and security sector. Among the participants was Engineer Marisa Cesario, Regional Director for Emilia-Romagna of the Italian National Fire and Rescue Service (CNVVF), who provided the institutional perspective of the National Fire Brigade and offered attendees an important opportunity for dialogue and technical insight. Francesco Chevallard, President of Uman – the National Association of Fire Protection and Safety Companies within Anima Confindustria – was also in attendance.

Through these moments of exchange, Sicurnet aims to interpret regulations more effectively and translate them into processes, behaviours and procedures focused on quality and real safety. The sharing of experience and expertise among companies, professionals and institutions remains one of the network’s defining strengths.

The meeting also explored new service opportunities offered by the group, including the possibility of renting fire protection systems. This solution has been designed to help client companies adopt efficient, regulation-compliant protection systems, making investment in safety more accessible.

Alongside technical and operational matters, Sicurnet continues to develop initiatives focused on creating social, environmental and ethical value. One of the main projects presented during the meeting was the network’s new “Carta dei Valori” (Charter of Values), a document defining the core principles guiding member companies: ethics, environmental and social sustainability, inclusion and equal opportunities, efficiency and quality.

The Charter of Values represents a concrete commitment towards the market and customers through the adoption of high standards in terms of social responsibility, reliability and sustainability.

For each of the four values, performance parameters and numerical indicators have been established, enabling companies within the network to continuously monitor their improvement journey.

Among the goals identified are the proper disposal or recycling of 100% of generated waste, annual staff training on inclusion and equal opportunities, achieving 100% compliance with regulatory standards during inspection controls, and reaching a minimum 50% level of digitalisation in business processes.

Significant attention was also given to environmental sustainability through the “Think and Offset project, the network’s voluntary emissions offsetting programme based on tree planting initiatives. The project was launched with the aim of contributing concretely to decarbonisation processes and climate change mitigation, while simultaneously generating benefits for local areas and communities.

In 2025, the project has already taken shape through the creation of the “First Sicurnet Forest” in the Arghillà district of the Municipality of Reggio Calabria, as part of the FATA project. This initiative represents not only a CO2 offsetting action, but also an intervention capable of generating social value, improving urban spaces and contributing to the daily wellbeing of local communities.

Joining Sicurnet means embracing a business model centred on quality, expertise and responsibility. It is not simply a matter of belonging to a national network of companies specialising in fire protection, but of sharing a common path based on continuous improvement, ongoing training and the adoption of certified operational standards.
