Gas Systems
CO2 fire suppression systems
CO2 gas fire suppression systems exploit the action of carbon dioxide to extinguish any type of fire without the formation of harmful decomposition substances.
CO2: gas systems
The gas that quickly puts out any type of fire
The gas extinguishing system with carbon dioxide (CO2) quickly puts out any type of fire without leaving any residue. Used in environments where there is no human presence, the CO2 system guarantees an almost immediate restoration of all activities, without requiring disposal operations.
Carbon dioxide is an odourless, colourless, non-corrosive, electrically non-conductive gas. CO2 does not soil, does not wet, does not damage materials with which it comes into contact, and during dispensing it takes on the appearance of a white vapour.
Our product portfolio of CO2 systems includes the entire range: total saturation or local application systems, low pressure (up to 18 bar) and high pressure (up to 70 bar).
How it works
Once the system is activated (automatically or manually), the carbon dioxide intervenes by performing a dual action, acting by:
- Immediate cooling, thanks to the rapid diffusion of the gas in the form of vapour.
The sizing of the system and the quantities of CO2 are appropriately calculated, guaranteeing extinction according to NFPA 12. - Suffocation, inhibiting the combustion process with the reduction of oxygen present in the air.
