Firefive®: the wetting agent that encapsulates, cools down and extinguishes fire

FireFive® is an additive that, when mixed with water in very low percentages, increases the extinguishing performance on class A, B (polar and non-polar), D, F fires and is particularly effective on three-dimensional fires, even in the most extreme weather conditions.

Numerous laboratory tests and experiments on real fire have proven its effectiveness: Firefive® is in fact UL and RINA (for use on board ship) certified.
In accordance with the European REACH regulation for the classification of chemical agents, Firefive® is an eco-friendly, non-toxic, non-corrosive and biodegradable product.

How does it work?

1 Maximizes water power.

The surface tension of the water is reduced by about 3 times when mixed with Firefive® . The individual drops of water are divided into smaller units, losing their spherical shape, increasing wettability thus penetrating the fire faster.

2 Cools down surfaces and extracts heat

Thanks to its exceptional cooling power, Firefive® is able to drastically lower the temperature of the treated area, inhibiting flashbacks, radiation and spontaneous re-ignition.

3 Captures and neutralizes hydrocarbon molecules

Firefive® encapsulates hydrocarbon molecules in both liquid and gaseous state, even in three-dimensional fires.

4 Stops the chain reaction of free radicals

Thanks to this extraordinary property, the product is able to encapsulate toxic fumes and vapours, increase visibility during rescue operations, making the environment safer.
